Job Description - Management Accountant

We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our team in driving forward the new way of living in Perth.

The role

As a Management Accountant, you will play an integral role in the financial management of the organisation. You will be responsible for providing insightful financial information, analysis and forecasting to operational managers, aiding them in making strategic decisions. Your ability to monitor financial performance effectively, develop meaningful KPIs, manage budgets/forecasts, conduct pricing/service cost analyses and identify opportunities for system/process improvements will be key to your success in this role.

 

Location

This role will operate out of our head office is in South Perth.

 

What you need to succeed:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be CPA/CA qualified with 3-5 year’s experience in a similar role. A building/property industry background is ideal although not essential. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts department on a daily basis.
  • Roll out policies, procedures, and process notes for accounts’ workflow to ensure smooth process between departments – sales – admin - accounts – Board of Directors.
  • Cashflow Management 
  • Roll out Month End process to ensure bank reconciliations are reconciled weekly, all costs are recorded properly in Xero
  • Provide monthly management report / dashboard Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. 
  • Lodge BAS in timely manner 
  • Communication with tax agents – for tax planning, ATO communications and tax returns.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance are attended to.
  • Payroll run
  • Run day to day finances; accounts payable and receivable
