About the Role and Team As part of our established and highly successful global Transaction Advisory Group ( TAG ), w e 're excited to announce that we 're growing our Accounting Advisory Services team in Sydney!
We ' re currently looking for a Manager and Associate Director to join us and play an integral part as we continue to scale.
Your key responsibilities will include -
- Provid ing transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance for acquisitions, divestitures, capital restructures, financial instruments and revenue recognition .
- Provid ing accounting advisory and financial reporting support to clients , including implementation assistance with accounting matters or new accounting standards and drafting accounting opinion papers.
- Work ing closely with wider TAG colleagues with r esolving technical accounting and deal related matters, including SPA and completion account assistance .
- Assist with regulatory filings for initial public offerings (IPO), spin-offs, carve-outs, debt offerings and other acquisition filings for both domestic and cross-border transactions.
- Support conversion services to clients requiring a change in their financial reporting to IFRS or US GAAP.
- Helping develop the Accounting Advisory Services team including , but not limited to , recruitment and training, thought leadership, pitches and/or solution development.
About You You're someone who likes to be part of something that is growing, with a positive personality and mindset to add value to a healthy culture.
You'll also bring with you the following -
- Experience within Accounting Advisory , or a background with tr ue transferrable skills, ideally from a Big Four environment .
- Commercially minded, strong technical skills and a working knowledge of IFRS.
- E xcellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills , with an ability to assimilate easily into teams.
- CA or CPA qualification .
- Proactive in identifying client needs and effective in building a strong relationship s with them, alongside the confidence to challenge them respectfully when needed.
- You're self-motivated, ethical, dependable and have a good level of emotional intelligence.
