About the opportunity
The new Workplace Operations team works closely with professional and academic colleagues to ensure the University meets its operational compliance obligations in relation to casual academics. The team drives continuous improvement, embeds consistent best‑practice processes and frameworks, and oversees operational compliance across all faculties and business areas—ensuring cohesive, rigorous standards and that casual academic staff are paid accurately in line with University policies and procedures and legislative requirements.

This is a hands-on, stakeholder facing role suited to an experienced workforce operations or compliance professional who enjoys problem solving, influencing outcomes, and improving processes within a complex higher education environment.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
support compliant and timely casual academic work allocation
provide clear advice on Enterprise Agreement and policy requirements
partner with stakeholders to resolve allocation, pay and timesheet issues
coordinate pre-semester allocation and approval activities
deliver training and guidance to uplift compliance capability
monitor data and reporting to identify risks and improvements.
About you
experience in workforce, compliance or education administration roles
strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
able to apply policy and agreements accurately and pragmatically
organised, detail focused and comfortable managing deadlines
confident working with systems, data and reporting
proactive, solutions focused and adaptable in a complex environment.
