This is a full time, residential position based in Alice Springs, Central Australia. We are conducting a national talent search and generous relocation and housing assistance will be included as part of the package.

Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia (WoSSCA) is a not-for-profit, non-government values driven organisation based in Alice Springs, Central Australia with a proud 40+ year history.

They operate on a feminist framework and are committed to assisting and enabling women and children experiencing gender-based violence by providing several critical services. Their vision is for all women and children to live safely, with respect and dignity, free from violence, in their chosen community. 

In your role as Manager, Crisis Accommodation Service, you will be responsible for leading and supervising the Crisis Accommodation Service (CAS) in the delivery of WoSSCA services to women, their children and communities, in accordance with relevant legislation, working practice standards and the organisations policies and procedures. 

The successful candidate will have proven management and leadership experience within the community services sector, applicants who have worked within a domestic / family violence environment, particularly within a remote or regional area will be held in high regard.

You will have sound understanding of theoretical frameworks, practice standards and continuous quality improvement practices and demonstrated experience of working cross-culturally, along with a proficiency regarding cultural competency and its application in service delivery.

In addition, you will be a natural leader with the proven ability to build and develop relationships and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and have a tertiary qualification in either Social Work, Psychology or Community Services, or experience commensurate with the position.

You will be a proficient communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills, report writing, conflict resolution, interagency collaboration and the ability to contribute to policy and procedure development.
