Manager Finance and Corporate Support

About the role

Waterfind is seeking an experienced Manager Finance and Corporate Support to join our dynamic team in Adelaide, SA. This is a full-time role where you will play a pivotal part in overseeing the finance and corporate support functions of our business. You will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and compliance of the organisation, as well as providing strategic support to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department leads on budgeting, financial monitoring, and reporting.
• Oversee daily operations across finance, trust accounting, administration, IT support, and software development.
• Ensure efficient workflows and continuous improvement in corporate support functions.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Develop revenue and expense models for business initiatives with KPI-driven reporting.
• Lead digital transformation projects, including AI implementation for efficiency.
• Pursue government grant applications aligned with organisational goals.

Governance Responsibilities

• Manage statutory financial reporting, tax lodgment, and compliance.
• Oversee banking and financial stakeholder relationships, mitigating risks.
• Maintain robust governance practices across the organisation.

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant with 8+ years of post-qualification experience
• Strong technical accounting and financial management skills, with a proven track record in a senior finance role
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for a complex organisation
• Proficient in the use of financial software and data analysis tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation
• Familiarity with the water industry or a similar regulated environment would be highly regarded
