Here at HSBC Australia we have the exciting opportunity for a Manager of Finance Transformation & Regulatory Change to join us. The role will work with the Country Head of Finance Strategy & Execution to help drive the Finance process improvement, digitisation, and streamlining agenda. The role will focus on enhancing processes and controls across all Finance sub-functions. This includes Business Information Risk management activities, and compliance with Data Risk frameworks for Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the Finance process improvement, digitisation, and streamlining agenda.
• Provide advice and digital solutions related to Finance processes and Regulatory Change across all Finance sub-functions.
• Facilitating the delivery of projects (both Global/Regional initiatives, and locally in Australia/ New Zealand) through coordination of requirements, manage risk considerations, and support roll out across all Finance sub-functions.
• Managing operational activities, delivering administrative and change activities to Finance.
• A curious mindset, with a focus on self-development to learn and upskill in emerging areas such as AI, Future State Architecture, and new HSBC tools.
• Providing expert advice and guidance related to Finance Transformation & Change to the wider Finance team, such as training sessions on the use of digital tools.

Requirements:

• Significant working experience in Banking / Finance industry is highly desirable.
• Mid-level knowledge of digital tools such as Python & SQL (highly desirable) & PowerBI, Xceptor, PowerQuery, Qlik.
• Mid-level knowledge of Australian Regulatory Reporting environment and requirements.
• Be comfortable working with ambiguity in a rapidly changing regulatory change environment where problems are not always clearly defined.
• Ability to drive change and improve existing processes and procedures through the use of digital tools, problem solving, and analysis to enhance operational effectiveness and resilience in the Finance function.
• Self motivated requiring minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or a related discipline). A recognised relevant professional accountancy qualification is highly desirable.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
