Job Description - Manager - HR Services, APAC

Bradken is equipping the resource sector to sustainably advance society.

Our 3000-strong global team members are proud of the innovative solutions we provide our customers and our commitment to being carbon-neutral by 2030 .

As our HR Services Manager – APAC, you will lead the delivery of payroll, benefits and HR administration services across a diverse and dynamic region spanning Australia, India, China, Malaysia and beyond.

This is more than a technical payroll leadership role. You will shape and mature a high-performing regional team, strengthen governance and compliance frameworks, and ensure HR Services operates with accuracy, discipline and continuous improvement across multiple regulatory environments.

Reporting to the Global Manager, HR Services & Reward, you will lead a dispersed team of five and partner closely with Finance, People Business Partners and regional leaders to align service delivery with business priorities.

In the near term, you will also provide hands-on leadership across Australian payroll operations, supporting audit readiness, legislative changes and system improvements as the function transitions to its next phase.

This role is based in Perth (Burswood preferred), with flexibility considered for Newcastle or Brisbane based candidates.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a multi-country HR Services team, building capability, accountability and collaboration across locations

  • Ensure accurate, timely and compliant end-to-end payroll delivery across the APAC region

  • Strengthen governance frameworks and proactively manage payroll and benefits compliance risks

  • Oversee audit readiness and implement improvements to controls and processes

  • Lead legislative and system-related changes in Australia, including Payday Super and payroll system enhancements

  • Manage vendor relationships, including driving service level accountability and performance improvement

  • Partner with Finance, Reward and HR Business Partners to align payroll and HR Services with business priorities

  • Drive continuous process improvement using data and insights to improve efficiency and service quality

  • Coach and support emerging team members, ensuring strong succession capability and operational continuity

What You Bring

You are an experienced people leader who builds strong, capable teams and creates an environment where individuals feel confident to contribute, challenge and grow.

You bring:

  • Proven experience leading and developing dispersed or multi-location teams, building engagement and accountability across different cultures

  • A leadership style that empowers technical experts and strengthens team capability rather than centralising control

  • Strong judgement in navigating payroll compliance and governance across complex regulatory environments

  • Experience improving controls, preparing for audits and strengthening vendor accountability

  • Confidence influencing senior stakeholders across functions and cultures

  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in changing environments

  • Solid end-to-end payroll experience with a strong understanding of legislative requirements

ADP experience is essential. Experience leading system implementation or legislative change projects will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, you build trust, lead with credibility and foster a cohesive One Team culture across regions.

If you would like to own HR Services delivery across APAC and lead a capable team through its next phase of maturity, we would love to hear from you.
