An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hybrid Cloud Manager to lead and evolve a large-scale hybrid cloud environment for a complex enterprise organisation in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This is a permanent leadership position with responsibility for the strategy, performance and financial management of a critical hybrid cloud platform, with a strong emphasis on private cloud infrastructure.

Your new role
In this exciting role, you will be:

Leading, developing and mentoring a high-performing infrastructure and cloud team

Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of VMware-based private cloud platforms

Managing multi-million-dollar OPEX and CAPEX budgets, including forecasting and optimisation

Driving strategy, modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives

Partnering with senior stakeholders to design secure, scalable and resilient hosting solutions

Ensuring compliance with security, risk, governance and disaster recovery standards

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application, you will need:

Proven experience leading infrastructure or cloud teams

Strong knowledge of VMware technologies including ESXi, vSphere, vCentre and SRM

VMware NSX experience is highly desirable.

Exposure to hybrid environments; AWS and/or Azure experience is advantageous but not essential.

Demonstrated financial acumen with responsibility for OPEX and CAPEX budgets

Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and influencing skills
