Your Key responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the operations of case assessment, response, and trust account teams by ensuring staff are provided with appropriate leadership, direction, guidance, training and assistance to analyse and direct investigations. • Monitor, review, and report on team performance and where necessary, undertaking formal reviews of officer's recommendations and decisions in conjunction with affected parties. • Undertake and case manage investigations and enforcement actions, including providing instruction to legal service providers and liaising, where necessary, with other relevant State and Federal enforcement agencies over the team's activities. • Contribute as a member of the Complaint and Program Coordination Divisional Management Team to the development and implementation of whole of division / whole of office plans, procedures, and initiatives. • Manage structured proactive compliance operations and contribute to achieving state and national compliance project outcomes. • Provide expert advice to the Executive Director Fair Trading Operations, Director Complaint & Program Coordination concerning emerging issues or operations being undertaken by the unit. This will include the preparation of case reports, briefing notes, ministerial correspondence, media releases, and contributing to the preparation of consumer publications. • Provide advice to senior and executive management in response to media enquiries while undertaking where required, direct media liaison in accordance with departmental media interaction protocols. • Liaise with and provide educational presentations to external stakeholders to assist in promoting industry compliance and represent the Office of Fair Trading at intra-agency, inter-agency, industry and community forums to strengthen stakeholder support for the Office of Fair Trading.
