Manager of Economic Development

Located in South West Queensland this Shire represents everything that is unique and wonderful about Outback Queensland. The Opportunity

This position is responsible for service delivery in the areas of economic development, investment attraction, tourism, event and community grants, community development and planning, sport and recreation and project inception and development.

About You;

• Experience in a related role in government, regional organisation or business;
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation and negotiation skills
• Ability to prepare grant applications
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of stakeholder cooperation, influence and customer service
• Experience in the review and implementation of strategic plans
• Current Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
• Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Commerce, Economics or similar discipline
