The Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Director, you will provide strategic direction and leadership across project controls, cost management, planning, scheduling, governance, reporting and risk management. You will ensure robust project controls frameworks are in place, enabling informed decision-making and successful project delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Leading a team of project controls professionals, you will drive excellence in project performance, financial management, reporting and governance while partnering closely with project delivery, procurement, finance and executive stakeholders
Your Day-to-Day Impact
Lead project controls governance, standards and best-practice frameworks across the KBT Redevelopment
Provide oversight of project cost performance, forecasting, cash flow, CAPEX/OPEX management and financial reporting
Drive integrated planning, scheduling and performance management across the project portfolio
Deliver insightful reporting, dashboards and executive-level project performance analysis
Lead risk, change control and issue management processes to support successful project outcomes
Partner with project delivery, finance, procurement and service providers to influence business decisions and optimise project performance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project controls systems, processes and reporting capabilities
Lead, mentor and develop a team of project controls professionals, building a culture of accountability and high performance
The Expertise You Bring
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Project Management or a related discipline
Extensive experience in project controls, cost management or program management within major infrastructure or capital projects
Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams in complex project environments
Strong CAPEX/OPEX management experience, including forecasting, cost control and cash flow management
Advanced knowledge of scheduling, earned value management (EVM), risk management and change control principles
Proven experience developing project controls frameworks, governance processes and reporting standards
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into meaningful business insights
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams
Experience with project controls systems such as Planview, Primavera, Oracle, MS Project or similar platforms
