Job Description - Manager Strategic Policy Communications

Reports to: Director of Policy 


Collaborateconsults and co-ordinates with: Marketing and Communications Director and Team 
Location: Any Asian market  
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

AIGCC is the leading network of investors in Asia focusing on risks and opportunities in climate and nature – which are key to investors’ fiduciary duty.

We are a not-for-profit, and our work across finance, business and policy making is underpinned by science, economics, and a deep knowledge of Asian markets and dynamics. 





Role Purpose 


Th role will carry out strategic communications and engagement functions to ensure effective and timely communications of AIGCC’s public policy positions and initiatives to both external and internal stakeholders, facilitating the achievement of AIGCC’s objectives and mission. 


 


Key Responsibilities 


High Priority 


Strategy and Planning: 





    • Implement strategic communications plans across communications and engagement platforms to create awareness, understanding and appreciation of AIGCC’s policy and advocacy initiatives.  







    • Develop and deliver compelling advocacy communications that translate complex policy issues into clear, engaging messages. 




Content Creation and Marketing:  





    • Create high-quality written deliverables under tight deadlines—issue backgrounders, messaging toolkits, press materials, talking points, and social media content. 







    • Draft op-eds, speeches, and thought leadership materials to position AIGCC’s policy outputs effectively. 







    • Support the marketing of AIGCC’s policy outreach events portfolio, including conferences, roundtables, and member convenings. 




Media & Stakeholder Relations 





    • Cultivate relationships with agenda-setting media at the national, regional, and local levels.

    • Monitor trends, conduct research, and analyze data to inform strategy and demonstrate impact. 




 


Experience & Capabilities 


Essential 





    • Six plus years of experience in public affairs, strategic communications, PR, and/or issue advocacy preferably in the climate or sustainability space.  




Preferred 





    • Fluency in one or more Asian languages. 

    • Familiarity with climate finance and investor initiatives in Asia. 







    • Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments. 







    • Advanced degree in PR, Communications, or Business advantageous.
