The College is currently seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Mandarin Teacher to support our students as we grow young people of faith, character, and purpose.

Your Role:

• Deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons that build students’ skills in speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural understanding.

• Integrate Chinese culture meaningfully into lessons through stories, festivals, traditions, and real-world contexts.

• Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for diverse needs


• Mentor and guide students to help them better understand their purpose

About you:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:

• Ability to deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons that build students’ proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and cultural understanding.

• be a highly committed professional and have a desire make a difference in the lives of students


• be an excellent classroom practitioner, communicator and have solid classroom management skills.


• be committed to academic excellence with high expectations of students


• possess strong interpersonal skills, valuing relationships with colleagues and stakeholders


• collaborate with colleagues in developing integrated learning experiences for junior students


• be committed to their own professional learning and growth


• be pastorally minded and comfortable with sharing their faith


• have an understanding of the wellbeing needs of adolescents


• be willing to actively contribute to the co-curricular life of the College


• Please note that EAL/D (ESL) teaching qualifications would be an advantage.
