Manufacturing Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is an award-winning, industry leader providing solutions to Customers from supply chain, machining, fabrication and assembly. Located in Bayswater, the team of 60 has been providing solutions to heavy industry, with a focus on transport, for 50 years.

Due to continued growth, the company is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, packing, and shipping of metal components and assemblies for our automotive clients.

About You

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a critical part in ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing warehouse productivity to meet key business metrics.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 6 warehouse staff in all aspects of receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching operations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory control systems using warehouse management software (WMS).
• Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Manage receiving processes, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and ensuring proper storage.
• Oversee packing and dispatch operations, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently to meet customer deadlines.
• Co-ordinate local deliveries and transport.
• Contact and support Customers as required.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including order fulfillment accuracy, on-time delivery rates, and warehouse productivity.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
• Collaborate with major customers and sub-contractors to resolve logistical issues and ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Prepare and maintain all required warehouse documentation.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse supervisor role, preferably within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve set goals.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) is a strong asset.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Problem-solving and can-do attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, customers, and sub-contractors.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Working knowledge of WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) regulations is a plus.
