About the Opportunity
Hall Contracting is seeking an experienced
Marine Asset Manager to join their exceptional team in
Southeast Queensland. The Marine Asset Manager will be responsible of all maintenance and planning for the vessels (dredges, workboats, boosters, and pontoons). As well as executing and managing others to identify and preplan the equipment works components with time, cost, quality, safety, and environmental consideration in accordance with the IMS.
Duties and Responsibilities - Update vessel documentation to comply with AMSA changes.
- Oversee vessel DPA.
- Facilitate the transition of new assets and bring back assets from layup.
- Manage slipping plans and budgets.
- Oversee the preventative maintenance program in consultation with Regional Managers.
- Ensure the implementation of PM, auditing its functionality, and configuring both new and existing assets.
- Estimating costs and time for preventative maintenance, major maintenance, modifications, and slipping activities.
- Oversee corporate plant budgets.
- Manage defect closure and reporting for assets during projects, including planning for critical and non-critical shutdowns.
- Maintain a critical spares program, overseeing stock levels including minimum and maximum thresholds and inventory management.
- Recruit and manage a team of engineers and fitters with the technical department.
About You - Located in Southeast Queensland
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Marine industry.
- Experience in the planning, setting up and implementation of strategic long term asset management strategies and programs.
- Formal qualifications in the field of Maintenance, Engineering or a related field is highly desirable
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to safety and upholding company ethic and values.
