The Opportunity  

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Marketing and Business Development Specialist and keen networker to join our award winning and ever-growing mid-tier Accounting Firm – Walsh Accountants.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role works very closely with the Marketing Assistant to ensure our ambitious goals are achieved annually. You will play a key role in achieving these goals by helping to develop and execute marketing strategies that appeal to our target clients, form and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, be a “face of the firm” attending networking events and meeting with people of influence who compliment and contribute to the growth of our firm, coordinate internal and external meetings and events, and handle inbound warm leads like a pro; appointment setting for our accounting team who will take the lead through to conversion.  

A multifaceted role where no two days will look the same. You will be able to multitask and manage competing priorities with ease.

As a very well-established firm, the Walsh Accountants brand is well known and recognised as a premium mid-tier accounting firm on the Gold Coast.  You will be responsible for continuing to keep the brand firing and front of mind for prospective clients and professional with whom we share mutually beneficial relationships.  You will be required to identify opportunities for growth, creating effective marketing strategies, and ensuring timely execution to drive lead generation. 

In addition, you are a dynamic professional with strong networking skills. You have a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships, facilitating effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and industry partners. Active participation in networking events is essential, ensuring you stay abreast of various industry trends and developments that will affect our business clients, using this information to formulate marketing strategies to attract prospective clients.  

This role requires someone who can foster genuine connections, resulting in beneficial partnerships and opportunities for growth. We believe that in addition to your marketing abilities, strong networking capabilities will enhance our firm's success, driving innovation and further enhancing or branding and reputation on the Gold Coast.  

 

Key Requirements for this position:  

Previous Experience: Must have minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.  Accounting experience not necessary but professional services preferred.  

Lead Handling: Skilled in managing inbound warm leads and setting appointments for team members 

Experience in Marketing: Proven experience in Marketing Strategy - developing and executing branding and lead generation campaigns.  

Networking Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners. 

Event Participation: Active involvement in networking events and staying updated on industry trends. 

Event Coordination Skills: Ability to coordinate internal and external meetings and events efficiently. 

Opportunity Identification: Proven ability to identify opportunities for growth and creating effective marketing strategies. 

Strategic Execution: Skilled at ensuring timely execution of strategies to drive demand 

Brand Management: Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the firm's brand. 

Sales Support: Key support for sales activities and instrumental in driving lead generation.
