Job Title: Marketing Assistant

Reports to: Sales and Marketing Manager

Overview of role:

The Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the marketing team in various activities to promote our products/services, enhance brand awareness, and achieve marketing objectives. This role includes supporting the implementation of marketing campaigns and creating marketing material, as well as developing resources for education and professional development. They will ensure consistent brand presentation, on-time campaign delivery, and market visibility.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the marketing manager, internal teams, clients and partners on marketing strategy.
• Website content writing and updating. This is essential. 
• Learning and working with various types of software for digital marketing.
• ,Working with database in the creation of EDMs, preparing contact groups and scheduling mail-outs.
• Providing administrative support to the marketing and sales team.
• Copywriting and editing a range of documents and technical manuals.
• Understanding company product and brand.
• Liaising with publications to book features, discuss campaigns and submit material.

Key skills and requirements:

• Experience in marketing, business or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Good organisation skills.
• Experience in WordPress essential.

You will be part of a marketing team of three, supporting a sales team of five.

You will possess excellent writing capabilities, supporting content creation for several respected industry publications in the following sectors: mining, firefighting, farming, and defence.
