Brand Management (Marketing & Communications)

Please note: This role is full time and due to current business pressures is required 4 days onsite in Geelong. We are unable to consider candidates that would like to work remotely or work from home more than 1 day per week. At the forefront of an exciting expansion, embarking on ambitious projects and creating opportunities for growth and innovation, an outstanding new vacancy has emerged for a dynamic Marketing Director to join the team on a full time basis and spearhead the marketing department, leading the strategic development and execution of brand initiatives.

The Job:
Responsible for building actionable programs to drive retail marketing performance while protecting and growing brand value, this is a critical role in shaping the brand’s direction, creating impactful marketing strategies and driving the commercial success of products. You’ll enhance brand perception, engage the community and nurture connections with customers, building relationships cross functionally and partnering with global teams. Overseeing various aspects of brand management, strategy, production, planning, budgeting, team management and customer engagement initiatives, you’ll implement plans to achieve business goals and brand ambitions. Driving and delivering consistent brand positioning across all channels and segments, growing brand awareness and consideration, you’ll conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities and customer behaviours. You’ll brief and produce marketing collateral, advertising campaigns and promotional materials, and manage and reconcile marketing budgets to maximise ROI and align with brand ambitions. Developing revenue generating opportunities, you will create and capitilise on commercial prospects through brand partnerships, working locally, nationally and internationally to enhance brand visibility and market penetration. You’ll also facilitate international business exposure, including expanding the reach in NZ, Asia and the USA.

Skills Required:
This role requires an experienced marketer who can grow brand equity for commercial success. With significant experience in a similar, senior role, developing traditional and digital marketing platforms, including SEO, PPC, email marketing and Meta/ social media, you’ll be skilled in executing marketing and e-commerce strategies that guide a brand’s direction, while maintaining a strong commercial focus. Holding tertiary qualifications in marketing, retail, or a related degree (a master’s degree would be highly regarded), you’re skilled in developing and implementing successful marketing plans that increase brand visibility and market share. An analytical problem solver and not afraid to roll your sleeves up and work as part of a team as well as leading from the front with a strong, collaborative work ethic, you’ll have exceptional communication and influencing skills and be self directed, passionate and motivated. With a sound understanding of the end-to-end customer journey, you use research, insights and data to inform decision making and can easily identify key priorities, develop timelines and deliver key initiatives on time and within budget.
