Job Description - Marketing Manager

About the Team

As a Marketing Manager, you will develop, manage, and implement comprehensive strategies to drive growth. You will be working on B2B and B2C events and will also support advertising and marketing initiatives to elevate event profiles. This includes increasing attendee numbers, revenue, and exhibiting companies.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.

You will be passionate about Marketing and Events, act as brand custodian for your portfolio, has commercial acumen, tech savvy and is good with analytics with ability to manage and implement successful marketing strategies and campaigns across Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns across the portfolio of events in order to achieve growth in attendee numbers, revenue, exhibiting companies and sponsors.

  • Supporting all advertising and marketing initiatives

  • Providing strategic and operational marketing plans

  • Utilizing online platforms to grow loyal and engaged communities.

  • Creating, curating, and editing relevant content to position our events as industry leaders.

  • Maintain brand integrity across all marketing initiatives and communications.

  • Setting and managing the advertising budget and tracking campaign ROI

  • Work with a centralised team of marketing executives, digital and creative support and an offshore support team to deliver these targets.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key external parties (PR, creative, media, associations etc.).

  • Produce reports and make recommendations based on campaign and market research results and analysis.

  • Requirements:

  • Hold a background in marketing or an equivalent direct marketing credential preferred.

  • Proven marketing management experience, ideally within events industry

  • Demonstrate solid analytical skills and the ability to interpret relevant data.

  • Experience with budgets and financial forecasting.

  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills and exceptional writing ability with great commercial mindset.

  • Comfort with matrix organizations and various stakeholder relationships.

  • Up-to-date experience of digital marketing techniques

  • Experience in Salesforce, Oracle Eloqua, Episerver is a bonus.
