MARKETING MANAGER - Career Growth Potential

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Perth hospitality operator, Nokturnl; the team who brought you The Old Synagogue / Tonic + Ginger, The Beaufort / Lotus, The Station / Ludo, and the newly opened Stories / alba, KARLA, Ugly Baby CBD hospitality precinct in Yagan Square.

We're looking for a talented Marketing Manager to join our vibrant in-house Marketing team of three. With a drive for all things marketing (digital, traditional and everything in-between), your hunger for staying informed about the latest market trends, cultural developments, and all things hospitality feeds into your team and work, effectively contributing to achieving company goals. 

Reporting to the Directors, on a full or part-time (4 days a week) basis, an all-encompassing marketing ‘unicorn’ role like this doesn't come along every day...

Drawing on your extensive marketing and management experience, in this role you will lead and empower a team of two Marketing Coordinators, ensuring their alignment with the company's strategic objectives and brand integrity while motivating them to excel and flourish. Collaborating closely with a dedicated marketing consultant and the broader executive and precinct management teams, you'll integrate your expertise in marketing and advertising to drive innovative, impactful, and engaging campaigns. 

Your ability to deliver results-driven recommendations, insights, and strategies will be pivotal to the successes of both the company and your team. With a deep understanding of our diverse audiences, you effortlessly merge industry best practices with the distinctive identities of our new and established venues and brands. You shine in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - swiftly adapting to changes, leveraging viral trends, and upholding brand consistency within the ever-evolving Perth hospitality landscape.

Your ability to thrive in the unpredictable nature of each day is evident as you consistently produce compelling campaigns and messaging. You champion innovation, pushing creative boundaries and formats to elevate our company, brands, and objectives.

Key skill requirements...

• Leadership experience in managing and empowering a team of two Marketing Coordinators, guiding their professional growth and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
• Close collaboration with a dedicated marketing consultant and executive/precinct management teams to integrate marketing efforts and achieve overarching business goals
• Proven expertise in curating, implementing, and leveraging comprehensive traditional and digital marketing and advertising calendars and strategies
• Demonstrated success in strategically aligning marketing and advertising calendars and strategies to achieve venue revenue targets and event KPIs
• Solid understanding of data analytics, tracking, and performance measurement. Proficiency overseeing digital reporting including Meta Business Manager, Instagram insights, TikTok, Google Analytics, and SEO/SEM analysis; and making key recommendations for improvement and growth
• Develop, manage and refine marketing budgets for all precincts and ensure budget allocations are optimised to maximise campaign performance and meet business objectives 
• Hands-on Meta experience – with proven results in Business Manager ad sets/optimisation, keyword-data-driven content and Meta advertising strategies
• Competence in managing Google Businesses, and proven track record in implementing organic and paid SEO and SEM growth strategies to enhance online brand awareness, reputation and conversions
• Utilisation of EDM platforms such as Sprout and Mailchimp for campaign-specific content creation, along with advanced skills in comprehensive campaign analysis and database management/segmentation. Experience in Sprout and SevenRooms advantageous
• Skilled in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva for creative and visually excellent marketing materials desirable
• Experience overseeing website development, experience with WordPress advantageous
• An obsession with keeping abreast with competitor analysis and industry trends – leading on key recommendations and implementing change
• Exceptional skills in engaging, liaising and maintaining multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless collaboration
• Media and PR experience desirable 
• Willingness and capability to attend and represent Nokturnl at venue events and activations as required

You'll bring with you…

• A bachelor's degree in marketing / demonstrate 5+ years of experience in a comparable marketing management role, showcasing a solid foundation in marketing principles and team management 
• An empowering attitude! You’ll be managing a team of two awesome Marketing Coordinators – so leadership experience is essential
• An unwavering attention to detail, adept multitasking skills, passion for what you do and exceptional communication abilities
• A flair and passion for all things brand - committed to delivering polished and compelling marketing content
• Strong organisational skills and effective time management, ensuring the seamless execution of tasks and projects within established timelines
• A proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, highlighting your ability to leverage these tools for impactful presentations and data analysis
• Team spirit! You’ll be working in the vibrant Nokturnl HQ team, within a Marketing team of four
