About the Company:

The Queensland Indigenous Business Network (QIBN) is a newly established, independent representative body created to provide a strong and unified voice for Queensland's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses. QIBN aims to champion the interests of Indigenous entrepreneurs, drive economic growth, foster partnerships, and advocate for essential support and resources.

About the role:

The Marketing Officer position will support QIBN in representing the needs and interests of all Queensland Indigenous businesses by executing marketing functions. This includes their economic and cultural interests on both a state and regional level through the future development of regional Indigenous business hubs.

The primary functions of this role will include but are not limited to:

• Design and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote organisational visibility and engagement that support business objectives.
• Conduct in-depth market research to understand general trends, competitor strategies, and industry challenges and ensure awareness of market shifts.
• Monitor, analyse and report on the performance metrics of our marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to shape future strategies and provide actionable recommendations.
• Create compelling content and develop targeted marketing campaigns using SEO and SEM, social media, email marketing, and other techniques in collaboration with the membership department to generate memberships and build the organisation's online presence.
• Develop and implement a monthly marketing plan.
• Design and develop promotional products, opportunities and partnerships that align with the organisation.
• Take a pivotal role in expanding and supervising our emerging marketing team, encompassing responsibilities such as assisting in recruitment efforts to onboard new team members.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain brand consistency across all marketing campaigns, strategies, channels, and communication with the implementation of guidelines.

To be successful for the role, you will have:

• Qualifications in communications, marketing or a related field.
• Previous senior marketing experience with a proven track record of successful marketing strategies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in marketing fundamentals, brand management, market analysis, and trends in digital marketing.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including CRM Systems, analytic platforms, and marketing automation tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
