Seeking expressions of interest from experienced Materials Engineers for a well-regarded Engineering business based in Perth. This full-time role will report to the Engineering Manager and will consist of a mix of both in-office and on-site consultancy and testing services. The role will be based in the company’s facility located south of the Perth CBD.

The Position...

• Performing forensic engineering and failure investigations.
  


• Performing root cause analysis.
  


• Conducting materials & mechanical testing.
  


• Providing expert witness services.
  


• Preparing written reports for clients.
  


• Serving as a point of contact for client inquiries.
  


• Scoping and preparing client quotes.
  


• Ensuring equipment is maintained and within calibration. 
  

The ideal candidate will require the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering or equivalent. (Essential)
  


• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in performing failure analysis / root cause analysis. 
  


• Technical understanding of machinery, heavy vehicles and engines (beneficial).
  


• Have a 'hands on' attitude.
  


• Professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  


• Have a high degree of competency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  


• High attention to detail.
  


• Excellent customer service skills.
