MC Driver

About the role

As a multiskilled MC Road Train Driver in the Gold Fields region, the role involves the safe transportation of diverse materials across multiple sites. Responsibilities include operating road trains, conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections, skillfully loading and unloading materials with a front-end loader, and maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. On-site, you will operate machinery such:

• Kenworth and Mack Trucks 
• 18 speed road rangers & automatics 
• Side tippers – triple or quad combinations 
• CAT980-988 or WA500-600 Front-end loaders 

Skills/Qualifications:

• Current and valid Commercial Driver's License
• Commercial Drivers Fatigue Management Certificate (validity within 2 years)
• National Police Clearance (site-dependent validity)
• Proven experience as a Road Train Operator, specializing in triple and quad operations, and self-loading with a front-end loader
• Proficiency in side tipper operations and loader operation (up to CAT988)
• Previous gold transportation experience
• Skilled in navigating both on-road and off-road terrains

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate road trains, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and traffic laws
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections for vehicle optimization
• Load and unload materials with a front-end loader for precision and safety
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery times
• Follow company policies for vehicle maintenance and safety
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Ensure timely material delivery, consistently exceeding customer expectations
