Mechanical Engineer - Secondment

Fyfe work with a wide range of clients in the Property & Infrastructure and Energy & Resources sectors to provide high quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery

Our Energy and Resources Division in Perth works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist Mining, Oil and Gas, Hydrogen and Renewable Energy projects across the country. These include upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major Gas transmission Pipelines, Oil and Gas facilities, as well as integrity, maintenance and construction related work programs.

Ideally, we are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer - Mining with 3 to 10 years of experience in the Mining industry. This full-time role involves a secondment to one of our top-tier clients for a period of 12 months.

This role will see you be responsible for:

• Preparation and review of engineering design documents
• Engineering calculations and datasheets
• Equipment sizing and selection
• Interaction with inter discipline engineers to execute multidiscipline projects
• Continuous improvement and optimisation (new ideas to improve what we do)

About you:

• You have tertiary engineering qualifications in Mechanical Engineering;
• Highly preferrable Mining experience
• 3-10 years experience in a similar role
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• You currently reside or intend to reside in Perth;
• You excel at multitasking and enjoy working on a variety of projects
