Join our team as a Mechanical Fitter - Wastewater Operations

Your responsibilities will include:

• 
  
  Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment across Redland Water's water and wastewater networks.
  
  


• 
  
  Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and monitoring the condition of equipment including treatment plant assets, pump stations and water storage infrastructure.
  
  


• 
  
  Operating and maintaining a variety of plant and equipment including cranes, trucks, utes and specialist mechanical equipment.
  
  


• 
  
  Supporting the development of maintenance schedules, work records, safety requirements and asset management activities.
  
  


• 
  
  Contributing to a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible workplace while working collaboratively with team members and contractors.
  
  

Skills and experience:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent mechanical trade background.


• Experience in mechanical maintenance, repairs and fault finding, with skills in welding, fabrication and/or machining.


• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose maintenance solutions.


• Ability to work effectively both within a team environment and autonomously in the field.


• Experience in the water, wastewater or industrial maintenance sectors is highly regarded but not essential.

Who we are:

Eligibility:

• You'll have trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.


• You'll have a current MR Class Driver's Licence, or be willing to obtain it within your probation period.


• You'll be able to participate in the Water & Waste Operations after hours on call roster over weekends and public holidays.


• You'll hold a Construction Industry Safety Induction Card, or be willing to obtain it within your probation period.


• You'll have the ability to obtain and retain a Confined Space Entry certification.


• To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
