Medical Administration Assistant (Casual) - Start Immediately

About us

We are a busy general practice with three sites, two in Nowra and one in Bomaderry. The role would involve working across the three sites at different times. Hours would vary some days with an early start and some days with a late finish.  You will be joining a friendly and cohesive team.

We currently have 1-2 casual positions available, with the prospect of this becoming a permanent position in the future.

As this is a casual position we can't guarantee days or hours, but you could expect fairly regular shifts, covering leave and periods when we are particularly busy.  While advance notice can be given for covering scheduled leave, being available at short notice to cover sick leave would be beneficial.

Qualifications & experience

• We are very happy to train the right person, but previous medical reception or administration experience would be well regarded.  This role would suit a university student, someone returning to the workforce or someone looking for a new opportunity who feels they meet our criteria.
• Reliability, initiative, accuracy and attention to detail are a must, as well as being prepared to ask lots of questions to ensure you get things right.
• You will be working as part of a team and you must be willing to take instruction from your team leader and managers.
• Being able to work in school holidays and outside of school hours will be a requirement.
• A love of technology and how to use it to improve systems would be a big plus.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Working as part of our reception team to provide exceptional service to patients and the other members of the practice team.
• Adhering to policies and procedures and performing all the daily tasks assigned to you.
• Using initiative to help out other team members and improve efficiencies.
