Your new role will see you working as a specialist assembler / distributor of the spinal components which are leased, returned sterilised, and charged upon receipt of the kit. Your new role will be the ultimate quality assurance piece – by checking specific kits for components and sterilisation, maintaining the premium brand, overall products and timely distribution of delivery to hospitals for patient care.
 
Your new role
 
Your new role will see you reporting to the Senior Operations, Quality & Customer Service Manager, working 8.30am – 5pm daily Monday to Friday only, overtime very ad hoc and only required when exceptionally busy with surgeon bookings. Working in a committed long tenure team of kit assemblers of 3 others, your new role exists due to growth.
 
Your typical daily tasks will see you:
 
  • Receive orders for surgery bookings and ensure the correct spinal kit is sent out
  • Appropriately checking all parts are sent out accurately, no room for error with missing components (screws, rods, many varied sizes of each piece)
  • Pick, pack and maintain inventory stock in an exceptionally organised way
  • Ensure absolute sterilisation at client site upon newly being sent out and received back
  • Process purchase of items upon receiving kits, and timely receipting
  • Liase with various stakeholders; hospitals staff, couriers, internal sales and overall management
  • Perform visual inspection on laser part numbers, lots numbers etc
  • Train new employees, conduct cycle counts, and utilise SAP for processing kits
  • Assist with customer service and distribution for Australia and New Zealand
  • Carry out preventative maintenance as required, and other duties you deem necessary due to working in a small distribution team
 
What you need to succeed
 
  • 2+ years proven experience working in a high attention to detail warehousing environment
  • Medical technology / kit assembly experience, and / or ISO TGA regulated environment will be viewed as advantageous
  • Experience working with SAP is essential, and good overall computer skills
  • Ability to work well in a team, and determined to work in a role with excellent retention with opportunities for advancement
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and ability to repetitively manual handle kits ranging from small to large sizes
  • A current Australian driver’s licence
