Medical device sales agent - Rewarding Work

About the business and the role

We area QLD based sales agent specialising in the sale of medical devices and services to a range of healthcare providers. We supply a range of market leading repair services and high-tech, niche surgical devices in  Urology, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT and Interventional Radiology.

We are seeking a medical sales professional to grow and support our growing medical device business and surgical instrument repair business.

We are looking for a self motivated representative with sales experience however those with a medical/nursing or technical background who want a career in medical device sales and think they have what it takes are also encouraged to apply.

Job tasks and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for growing sales and providing customer support and service for existing customers. 

• Be accountable for selling a range of products and services to surgeons, nurse managers, biomedical Engineers and procurement managers.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key contacts to increase sales revenue.
• Provide clinical support to surgeons and nursing staff in the operating theatre.
• Lead the sales effort in QLD to identify, sell and promote our products and services.
• Effectively manage your own time
• Regular travel to central and north QLD may be required.
• Interstate travel may be required from time to time.
• This role will involve significant amounts of in field work in hospitals and work from home.

Skills and experience

• Able to cold call and organise a meeting schedule and driven to achieve sales results.
• Proven sales performance preferred but not essential for the right candidate with a medical background.
• Experience working in an operating theatre environment preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
• Be confident, self-motivated, organised and have the ability to work autonomously.
• Be able to travel - you will need your own car.
• Excellent communication skills. (both written and verbal)
• Ability to quickly absorb clinical and technical information
• Excellent computer skills
• Tertiary qualifications or background in biomedical engineering or nursing will be highly regarded. Science and or Business experience and or qualifications will also be an advantage.
• MTAA operating theatre protocols certificate or willing to attend this short course.
