Medical Receptionist

The OMS Clinic is committed to providing our patients with innovative and affordable Oral & Maxillofacial, Head & Neck and Reconstructive Surgery. We perform procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, jaw surgery with a special interest in head and neck cancer.

We currently have three maxillofacial surgeons in our team across three locations.

With our team growing, we are  looking to welcome an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Receptionist to build upon our friendly team as our clinic grows. With the role being front of house, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. We are looking for a bubbly friendly nature to welcome our new and returning patients, setting the tone for a pleasant experience from start to finish. We are currently offering 3-4 days per week with the room to grow for the right applicant.

This position will have the responsibility of performing all administrative functions including but not limited to:

• Greeting patients
• Answering incoming calls
• Making patient bookings
• Liaising with hospitals and other specialist clinics
• Invoicing and receipting payments
• General admin duties such as emails, scanning of documents and fax;
• Completing tasks assigned by the doctors and practice manager
• General housekeeping duties, ensuring patient waiting area is clean and tidy, consulting rooms are properly stocked, clean and ready for the day
• Support clerical staff

The successful candidate will have a flexible and adaptable nature, have outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational and communication skills, performed together with a team focus, have a reasonable level of computer literacy.

The successful candidate will also ensure all patients and visitors to the clinic are attended to in a polite, professional and respectful manner. Whilst also being mindful to address any situation with sensitivity and empathy due to the nature of patients being attended to.

The successful applicant will be required to work in our Tweed Heads office every Friday. You will need your own transport.
