Glen Iris Private is a Private Day Surgery Unit registered with the DHHS and accredited with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. Glen Iris Private was established in 1985 and has continued to serve the community by offering a full range of Endoscopy procedures and General and Plastic Surgery.

Glen Iris Private focuses on the provision of high-quality patient care in a safe and caring setting and prioritises a positive work/ life balance for all staff.  

An opportunity exists for a Medical Receptionist on a permanent full-time basis.

A motivated individual who is a fast learner, has good work ethics and is keen to commence a career in medical reception can also apply. 

The role:

• Opening/ closing procedure at commencement of day
• Greet patients and carers in a friendly manner and courteously responding to patient queries.
• Liaising with Private Health Funds regarding patient eligibility
• Processing payments via EFTPOS and handling billing information
• Accurate and timely preparation of the patient files, paperwork, and admission documentation
• Ensures scanning requirements are met at all times

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Demonstrate sound computer knowledge & experience
• Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and efficient
• High level of confidentiality and professional ethics
• Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Must be enthusiastic, have proper time management and organizational skills and must be self-motivated.
• Previous medical reception experience is beneficial but not mandatory as mentoring is available.
• Must have efficient time management
• Must have exceptional attention to detail
• Be able to work in a Dynamic environment
• Able to work Saturday if required.
