Salon Lane is currently recruiting for a dynamic Member Growth & Event Sales Executive to grow and retain members and event hirers across its portfolio of locations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Sydney Member Growth Manager, you will be responsible for qualifying, growing and retaining our communities of top hair and beauty professionals across all our Sydney locations. You’ll also be responsible for event and venue hire bookings nationally.

 

Working within a small and highly interdependent team, the role demands bags of energy, drive and commitment, attention to detail, commercial acumen and efficiency in managing competing priorities and challenges of a fast-moving start-up environment.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Qualify incoming membership enquiries and close member prospects across all Sydney sites.
  • Identify and prospect potential new Sydney members based on location and specialty.
  • Qualify incoming venue and event space enquiries and close bookings across all Salon Lane sites (nationally). 
  • Conduct prospective member and event hirer tours.
  • Prepare new member and event hirer proposals and membership agreements.
  • Perform member reviews and oversee their contract extensions, rate increases and additional team member requests. 
  • Undertake the handover process of all paid event bookings to the Member Experience team.
  • Actively contribute ideas and assistance to generate marketing and promotional collateral. 
  • Represent Salon Lane at all relevant trade shows and networking events.
     


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Be able to start a full time position in May/June 2024.
  • 3+ years’ sales experience in the hair and/or beauty industry, coworking, commercial/retail leasing, membership, hospitality or events. 
  • A closer who loves to seal the deal and see your lead to conversion rate grow and grow and grow.
  • Amazing communication skills both on the phone & in person - you are a people’s person and this shines through.
  • Excellent attention to detail & commitment to high standards - we are a premium brand.
  • Technically competent and able to understand and work with cloud based software applications including MS Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack & Asana (or equivalent).
  • Experience with CRM systems like HubSpot, Salesforce or similar will be looked on very favourably.
