About the role


Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) provide specialist, recovery-oriented care to individuals experiencing serious mental illness within their local community.


The Bellarine CMHT delivers comprehensive, multidisciplinary mental health care across the Bellarine Peninsula, supporting consumers in community settings with a strong focus on continuity of care, recovery, and community connection. The team works collaboratively with consumers, families and carers, and key service partners to ensure coordinated, timely and person-centred support.


As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide recovery-oriented, community-based mental health care to individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental illness.


Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver assessment, treatment and care coordination, supporting consumers and their families/carers through a person-centred and collaborative approach. The role contributes to safe, timely and coordinated care aligned with the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.


 


Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver assessment, treatment and recovery-oriented interventions

  • Provide coordinated, consumer and family-inclusive care

  • Contribute to intake, risk assessment and case management functions


What We Are Looking For



  • Qualification in Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology (with relevant registration)

  • Experience in mental health assessment, risk management and care coordination

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

  • Willingness to work a 7-day rotating roster, including evenings and weekends (where applicable)
