Position: Mental Health & Disability Support Worker
Location: Macarthur 2560 

Rate: $38.29-43.50/ hour

Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Mental Health Support Worker to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will provide vital support to NDIS Participants, helping them navigate their daily lives, build and refine skills, and achieve their personal goals. Your empathy, dedication, and positive attitude will be crucial in creating a supportive and empowering environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide one-on-one support to clients, tailored to their individual needs and goals.
• Assist clients in developing and implementing individual skills and strategies.
• Promote independence and social inclusion through community engagement.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
• Promote mental wellness and resilience through various activities and interventions.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with psychosocial disabilities.
• Education: Qualifications in Mental Health or currently studying towards a Certificate in Mental Health or equivalent.
• Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
• Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for mental health and well-being.

What you’ll need:

• Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent
• NDIS Worker screening check 
• Police check 
• Right to work In Australia 
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
