Mental Health Clinician - Homeless Outreach Team
Eastern Health
Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services and have a proud history of serving a diverse community.
Our Employee Value Proposition is “Being a part of Eastern Health means belonging to a welcoming team of healthcare experts”.
This statement aligns with our promise to our communities, patients, consumers and staff that we will be HEALTHIER TOGETHER. Bolder than a vision for the future, our promise calls us to action. We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.
About the role
Eastern Health Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service (EHOPS) is a well-established multidisciplinary team providing intensive and assertive case management to adults experiencing severe mental ill health. The team delivers both outreach and clinic-based support to consumers and their families, working flexibly to meet people where they are.
We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician (preferably a Registered Psychiatric Nurse) for a short-term contract to cover a period of extended leave. This is a great opportunity to join a passionate, supportive, and recovery-focused team dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness and complex mental health needs.
The Mental Health Clinician role within EHOPS is a highly valued position. You will work in partnership with people with a lived experience of mental illness, their families, and carers, to provide high-quality assessment, intensive case management, and assertive outreach support. Guided by the Collaborative Recovery Model, you’ll play an important role in promoting recovery, independence, and community connection.
