Grace Recovery Hub is currently looking for Mental Health Support Workers to work in Pakenham, Ringwood, Preston, Heidelberg, Rowville, Hoppers Crossing, Keilor, Dandenong and surrounding areas.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Support and assist participants in achieving their goals and needs in relation to the approved NDIS plan
• ·       Engage with clients in their homes, offering companionship and support as they navigate their mental health journey.
• ·       Assist with daily living tasks such as grocery shopping, attending appointments, and managing personal administration.
• ·       Explore the community together, whether it's enjoying nature, participating in social activities, or focusing on physical health through exercise.
• ·       Foster independence by aiding with household chores and self-care activities.

At Grace Recovery Hub, we're seeking individuals who possess highly developed interpersonal skills and thrive on connecting with new people. If you have prior experience in mental health or community-related roles and are looking for a consistent and stable routine, we encourage you to join our team.

About you:

Interpersonal Skills: You should feel comfortable meeting and engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a supportive environment.

Experience: Prior experience in mental health or community-related roles is preferred, demonstrating your commitment to supporting others.

Consistency: You're looking for a role where you can work at least 20 hours each week, primarily on weekdays between 9am-5pm hours. Please note that if you study full-time or prefer weekend or night shifts, this may not be the ideal position for you.

Commitment: We're seeking candidates who are dedicated to making a positive impact and are willing to commit to the role for at least 12 months, ensuring stable and consistent service for our clients.

Transportation: Access to a car and a current driver's license is necessary, as you'll be responsible for transporting clients in your vehicle. Rest assured; you'll be reimbursed per kilometre for this service.

Selection Criteria:

·       Minimum cert 4 Mental Health and/or relevant experience.

·       Willingness to work on short notice.

·       Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain).

·       Current full Driver’s License & Registered Vehicle.

·       Current Working with Children Check.

·       Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.

·       Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.

·       Demonstrated understanding of a person-centred approach.

·       Ability to follow established recovery-oriented practices.

·       Ability to follow individual support plans.
