The Role...
Due to internal promotions and the rapid growth of our brand in ANZ, we have a vacancy of Merchandise Planner. Your focus will primarily be on D2C Retail. You will determine merchandise requirements to drive the best outcomes aligned with the brand strategy.. Day to day responsibilities include;
Lead the seasonal forecasting process for all Channels/Categories aligning to D2C financial plan
Accountable for defining and creating the optimum purchasing strategies, based on consumer needs whilst maximising sales, margin and profit to the business
Deliver sales, margin, and inventory forecasts with variance analysis vs. plan at channel/ store level
Manage a core line plan to maximize trading & own closing stock targets & actions associated
Partner with Merchandise Managers to balance category investment & buy depths/grades
Manage the trading environment & provide weekly/monthly trading reports to leadership
Partner with channel leads to build seasonal / annual financial & commercial targets in line with brand/category/channel strategic intent
Build and manage OTB by category and channel – top down / bottom up; BA/Category/Article
Develop and evolve the store grading & capacity system to maximise inventory, flow & operational improvements
Skills and Experience...
A range of skills are necessary including:
Demonstrated experience of DTC merchandise planning, with exposure within an expanding brand.
A proven capability in managing and planning Open to Buy budgets to successfully achieve financial outcomes
Experience in footwear, gear/accessories product categories with great understanding of consumer within a D2C environment
Knowledge and experience with merchandising systems, processes and best practices.
Strong analytical skills – experience in creating reports and analyzing data.
Strong MS Office knowledge especially Excel
