We’re excited by the fact our team is continuing to expand. And, as we continue to grow, we’re seeking a driven Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to join our team. This role will work across our range of Group companies, which includes Technology, Healthcare, Disability Services and Human Resources. You will be at the forefront of identifying, evaluating, and executing high-impact deals that align with our strategic objectives

While you can work from any location in Australia, Melbourne is our Head Office.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential acquisition targets, market opportunities and analyse industry or competitive trends. 
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential acquisition targets.
  • Conduct detailed financial modelling and valuation analysis to assess the financial risks and benefits of potential acquisitions.
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts, including financial, legal, operational, and strategic assessments. 
  • Prepare and present regular reports on acquisition activities for senior management.
  • Support acquisition planning and execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts, investment bankers, brokers, and other relevant parties. 
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of potential deals with target companies and act as the primary point of contact for acquisition-related inquiries. 
  • Ensure all acquisition activities are thoroughly documented and comply with internal and external regulations.

Here's what you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus. 
  • Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development. 
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills and excellent understanding of market research and strategic planning. 
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial analysis tools. 
  • An ability to convey complex information to IT and non-IT stakeholders. 
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual rigour and curiosity, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

Please note that all team members must have a valid state-based Working with Children Check (WWCC), Police check, and be authorised to work in Australia.
