Microvellum Draftsperson

Who are we?

Cranbrook Workshop specialises in custom joinery and cabinetry, balancing modern carpentry technologies with care and craft. We provide all types of joinery from simple solutions to more highly articulated interior designer-led treatments. Working directly with interior designers and architects, we are always keen to integrate new materials and develop interesting details.

Part of the Robert Plumb Collective, and newly merged with Captive Cabinetmaking, Cranbrook Workshop is in a growth phase with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects. We are looking to expand our skilled cabinet making team and have created a new position for an experienced draftsperson with expertise in Microvellum. The position is full-time and located in our workshop in Botany.

Who are we looking for?

With a steady and ongoing pipeline of projects we are looking to expand our team with an experienced Microvellum Draftsperson on a full-time basis. With a passion for joinery and cabinetry, you will be keen to learn new systems and processes, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy the creative side of technical drawing through to production. In this role, you will be exposed to premium architectural design projects, and be part of a well known team of experts.

About you ...

• Microvellum experience essential.
• Ideally 3+ years in the industry.


• Background in cabinet making is highly desirable.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to manage all stakeholders, including building strong relationships with the team, external parties and clients.


• Meticulous attention to detail.


• Solution based problem solving.


• Solid understanding of architectural plans, cabinet making and residential construction ideal.


• Organised with excellent time management skills.
