The Middle Office Team supports all trading related activity from the point of trading
through to settlement. The objective of the team is to maintain a high level of valueadded service and to partner with Business Units to address key internal and/or external client issues.
The Middle Office team are looking for am Investment Data Analyst to work closely with
the key stakeholders in both the business and Operations to perform the following job
functions
- Responsible for all client static and Buisiness data-set up and ongoing
maintenance. - Ensure checklists are completed on time according to the SLA’s agreed with
internal stakeholders. - Ensuring escalation in line with the escalation protocols for all aspects of control.
- Provide data for the weekly/monthly Middle Office forums to review metrics and
formally identify risks. - Actively participate in the weekly Middle Office forum.
- Writing of any procedures, checklists and incident reports (first draft)
- Provide suggestions to the framework and operating infrastructure required (by
business / product) to minimize inherent operational risk and manage all control
functions across systems, processes and procedures. - Assist / coach / train more junior members of the team.
- Identify STP opportunities for the business and introduce process improvement
initiatives to increase the efficiency and capabilities of the business. - Participate in projects/UAT/implementation of systems and other technology or
regulatory driven developments Experience: - Previously held Middle Office experience in financial services (Desired not essential)
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- SQL or Python
- Experience supporting sales and trading businesses – equities, fixed income and advisory
- Proven ability to manage Operations related interaction with external clients
- Ability to work and partner with business and peer infrastructure groups to deliver and
- manage the operating platform to support the business
- Experience in dealing with external stakeholders including Clients and service providers
- Strong analytical, numerical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve results, whilst maintaining a professional and friendly client service manner
