Our client is an ASX listed, copper focused base and precious metals mining company with a portfolio of long-life producing assets and a pipeline of organic growth opportunities. The company has two producing assets: one in Western Australia and the other in Queensland and a strategic tenement package and project in Chile.
The WA operation has a 10 year mine life. The high-grade resource is supported by modern infrastructure providing a platform for future growth.
We are currently seeking an Underground Mine Coordinator to join the team. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and experienced team. Reporting to the Underground Manager, this role will assist the management team to safely execute the Mine Plan by effectively Coordinating UG mining activities with the UG contractors. This is a permanent position, offered on an 8/6, 4/3 rotation roster FIFO from either Perth or Geraldton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Client mine coordination to manage main UG mining business partner;
Assisting Production and Development teams to plan and achieve the Weekly/Monthly/yearly plans;
Assisting Tech Team in reviewing Development and Production plans;
Completing QAQC for UG activities, e.g, development, charging, drilling loading etc;
Assisting in managing UG projects, backfill or infrastructure as requested;
Providing operational input to the mining and Tech team for safe and effective processes;
Mentoring and guide Tech team as requested with operational input;
Assisting in highlighting operational efficiencies with the UG mining team;
Engaging the team in safe operating processes.
What we are looking for:
15+yrs. experience in the UG mining industry (extensive shift boss time);
Tertiary degree in mining;
Previously held supervisory positions (preferably as Mine Coordinator);
Successfully completed a Risk Assessment course;
Dangerous Goods Security Clearance;
Proficient in MS Office software.
