Job Description - Mobile Service Technician

About us: 

FastCharge Australia is an Australian owned company who supply, install and maintain electric vehicle chargers and batteries for the Material Handling and Airport Industries. As the leader of electric vehicle chargers in the Asia and Pacific regions, we pride ourselves on the quality of our turn key solutions we consistently provide to our customers.

 

The Opportunity:

Due to company and client expansion, we are seeking a Mobile Service Technician to join FastCharge Australia, to service our clients in Sydney NSW. You will part of our service team contributing to our professional team environment by ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency is provided at all times. 

 

As a Mobile Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the electric vehicle chargers and batteries owned by our customers are properly maintained, serviced and restored to working order promptly. You will also be required to adhere to customer site safety procedures and policies, as well as our own policies. The ideal candidate will have previous experience either in servicing, operating or maintaining of motive batteries or electric motive vehicle chargers. Starting salary is above award rates and is based on previous experience and is reviewed periodically. 

 

Duties include:

  • Perform maintenance visits to customer sites who have undertaken a maintenance contract with us. 
  • Perform service visits when issues are reported by customers; repairing problems where possible using the spare parts carried in your vehicle, or diagnosing and documenting the problem if a quotation is required to replace parts. 
  • Review service work orders, tasks and log completed work through our service mobile application. 
  • Provide on-site diagnostics using our technical manuals and fault-finding charts.
  • Build solid relationships with customers and provide excellent customer service. 
  • Travel throughout Sydney and NSW regionally on occasion.

 

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities we’re Looking for:

  • Ability to work unsupervised. 
  • Electrical trade qualifications or relevant experience.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. 
  • A professional manner when interacting with customers.
  • A pro-active attitude. 
  • Strict adherence to Occupational Health and Safety polices.

 

Advantages:

  • Prior experience working with electric chargers or batteries 
  • Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Background 
  • Driver’s Licence
