Mobility Scooter / Wheelchair Technician

All Scooters and Wheelchairs are a leading supplier of mobility equipment in South Australia and have been servicing the aged and disability industry for over 25 years.

This role is ideally full time. We are a small business and value people who don’t mind a variety of tasks.

We are looking for a competent person to join our team, based in Enfield, South Australia. This role includes workshop repairs, retail sales, administrative tasks and mobile repairs and maintenance in one of our vans. If you have good people skills and like things with wheels and motors, you will fit right in.

The applicant must have the following attributes:

• Sound workshop skills, including the use of typical automotive tools and multimeters.
• Excellent presentation and people skills, for dealing with customers who are potentially elderly or disabled.
• Ability to work well with the workshop team for problem solving, scheduling jobs etc…
• An honest, reliable can-do attitude with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Sound problem solving abilities.
• Computer literacy specifically using MS-Office products such as Outlook and MS-Excel.
• Be able to pass police checks for working with vulnerable people and children.
• Covid and Flu vaccinations for aged care facilities.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Australian Citizenship.

Previous experience with mobility scooters and wheelchairs is an advantage but not necessary. Experience in Automotive mechanical or electrical systems are well regarded. Experience with the elderly or disabled is highly regarded. Any trade qualification using hand tools is well regarded.

The applicant will be trained in specialised areas of this industry.

We have pizza once a month. Toppings negotiable.
