This role sits within Motor Claims and Assessing and reports to the Team Manager, On‑Road Assessing or Central Assessing & Support. This is a permanent full-time role based at Eight Mile Plains in Meanjin (Brisbane).

What You'll Do

• Assess and quantify motor claims in a timely and cost‑effective manner, ensuring safe and compliant repair outcomes.

• Apply industry and manufacturer‑approved repair methods to determine fair and appropriate claim settlements.

• Build strong relationships with members, repairers, service providers and internal stakeholders.

• Deliver an outstanding customer experience, including supporting customers experiencing vulnerability with empathy and care.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements and codes of practice.

• Identify risks, escalate issues where required, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support cost‑effective repair strategies while maintaining quality and safety standards.

What You'll Bring

• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in motor assessing or a related trade environment.

• Trade qualifications and technical experience in panel beating, spray painting or motor mechanics.

• Strong knowledge of motor repair industry practices and assessment methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.

• Proven problem‑solving, decision‑making and negotiation capability.

• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• A valid Australian driver’s licence.

What We Offer

• Boosted superannuation with 13% as standard.

• 20 days annual leave + 5 days MyLeave (extra leave for what’s important to you).

• Hybrid working arrangement and many more flexibility options with myFlex.

• Up to 50% off personal insurance, including home and motor insurance.

• Partner discounts on private health insurance, tech & appliances, and many more.

• Industry-leading 20 weeks paid parental leave.

• Access to LinkedIn Learning, the award-winning IAG Academy, study assistance and secondment opportunities.
