Motor Mechanics / Light Vehicle Mechanics

Our client, a member of the Out of Town 4WD Group - the longest operating 4WD accessories operator in the state. 

They are in search of light vehicle mechanics,

Key Responsibilities & Duties: 

Following all workshop WHS procedures 

Installing 4WD accessories to vehicles, including fuel & water tanks, bull bars, winches, canopies, suspension, roof racks, drawers, lighting, 12V systems, snorkels, brackets, and UHF’s. 

Servicing vehicles, predominantly 4WD’s 

Completing registration checks on vehicles, predominantly 4WD’s 

Completing job card paperwork 

Unpacking and checking stock against job cards 

Liaising with other team members and potentially customers 

Assisting with workshop duties, such as cleaning, tidying, sweeping of workshop 

Caring for, and looking after all workshop tools and equipment

The above responsibilities are non-negotiable, however, it is not essential that candidates have experience in fitting all the accessories listed above, if they can demonstrate their capability with a majority of these accessories and have a willingness to learn the rest. 

With regards to language, they expect that candidates will be able to communicate basic English but understand fluent English may not be everyone’s strong point. If some candidates are not fluent, they would need at least 1 candidate in each location to be able to speak fluent English to help in times of communication challenges with the other candidates. 

They work mainly with Toyota, Ford, Mazda, and Isuzu vehicles – it would be preferred if candidates have had experience working on these vehicles, especially Toyota and Ford.

• Working rights required for this role
• Expected salary: $73,000 - $78,000 per year
