Your new role
Design, develop, and optimise SQL Server databases to meet complex business requirements
Write and maintain advanced T-SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures to support application needs
Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendor partners to translate requirements into technical solutions
Apply agile and iterative methodologies to deliver high-quality development outcomes
Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimisation of database systems and applications
Manage release planning and deployment of database changes in line with IT change management policies
Ensure data integrity by owning key datasets and implementing processes to maintain accuracy
Document development work, update technical specifications, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team
Provide input into solution design, enhancements, and integration with other systems
Support compliance activities including audit remediation and security reviews
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualifications in IT or business, or equivalent professional background
Minimum ten years' experience in technology environments, with deep expertise in SQL Server and T-SQL
Strong capability in developing and maintaining complex queries, functions, and stored procedures
Familiarity with .NET framework, Web API integration, and exposure to Microsoft Access or VBA desirable
Proven ability to interpret unclear requirements and deliver solutions in complex organisational settings
Knowledge of ITIL practices and project methodologies, with strong organisational and time management skills
Experience in business process documentation, solution analysis, and impact assessments across people, process, and technology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
