MULTI PROPERTY GENERAL MANAGER – NEWLY CREATED ROLE

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Multi Property General Manager to manage, oversee and lead two hotels, one currently on the Sunshine Coast and one coming soon in the Brisbane CBD.

The Mercure Sunshine Coast Kawana Waters owned by the National Rugby League and franchised with Accor Hotels boasts 81 rooms, it is well-appointed accommodation, has lakeside dining and function and event facilities. 

Managed by leading hospitality management company 1834 Hotels, with a current portfolio Australia-wide network of hotels, resorts, apartments, restaurants, and other venues within the hospitality and tourism sector. We are seeking a dedicated, hard-working hospitality leader with a passion for driving sales, managing and developing teams, controlling and managing expenses and delivering exceptional customer experiences to manage both properties. 

Candidates must have previous similar experience, and be able to demonstrate:

• A passion for tourism and hospitality and overall guest experience, with previous general management experience
• Recent accommodation and food and beverage management experience in a highly competitive market and a strong comprehension of profitability, revenue and yield management principles is essential;
• Proven ability to maximise profitability, through effective cost management and driving sales;
• Strong leadership skills, outstanding communication (verbal and written), and exceptional time management;
• Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of hospitality business operations, with a strong financial acumen;
• Willingness to take a hands-on management approach to develop, motivate and lead a professional and dynamic team, across all departments;
• A focus and commitment to delivering high standards of service and product quality, to consistently exceed customer expectations whilst ensuring best practices are achieved;
• Previous working knowledge of various PMS, Channel Management, POS and accounting systems; and 
• Strong appreciation of Work, Health & Safety.
