Castaway is an iconic and highly recognisable Australian brand, producing a range of food packaging products for the Australian and New Zealand market. Our family-owned and operated business designs, manufactures and distributes product throughout Australia and New Zealand and employs over 100 people.

The Opportunity

An exciting National Account Manager opportunity has become available to support the business managing the key accounts and customer relationships. You will help drive sales outcomes through effective channel management and continually looking for new ways to gain market share & grow sales. 

This role can be either Sydney or Brisbane based as there is extensive interstate travel involved.

About the Role

As a Senior Sales & Account Management professional you will have a diverse range of sales experience and will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Develop, drive & effectively manage sales in line with the company business plan.
  • Developed and nurture key customer contacts within a variety of customers.
  • Build and execute Strategic Category plans for your market segment.
  • Produce and utilise reports / data to make strategic sales decisions for the future of your channel.
  • Conduct regular business reviews that identify opportunities & issues.
  • A strong ability to utilise and understand excel data.

Your Skills 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments (Marketing, Customer Service, Operations etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to look at and capitalise on market trends then work this through your key customer contacts.
  • Heavily reliant on data to make future business decisions for your category.
  • High level of commercial acumen and able to see the impact your work has on the overall business success.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, agile environment with the ability to travel interstate.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be given the support and guidance needed to be successful in your role. The right attitude and a willingness to work to strategic outcomes will be key to success with this organisation.
