About the Role:

Prospect Retail is proud to partner with a leading Australian menswear fashion brand in the search for an exceptional National Demand and Supply Planning Manager. This critical role will oversee and manage all demand-related aspects of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring continuous improvement and strategic partnerships across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Planning:

• Ownership of the national demand planning process for all products.
• Analyse forecasts provided by the Commercial Sales team, incorporating historical sales data, promotional activities, forecast accuracy, and business targets to ensure accurate SKU forecasting.
• Develop and implement long-term planning strategies to meet the company’s sales and profitability goals.
• Lead the annual planning process, including setting objectives, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to create accurate demand forecasts.
• Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimise excess inventory.
• Implement inventory control measures to maintain desired stock levels and reduce holding costs.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, and supply chain operations.
• Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management, highlighting insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Lead the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production plans.

Supply Planning:

• Maintain an 18-month rolling Supply plan for long-term capacity planning.
• Manage inventory and safety stock levels, coordinating new product introductions and phase-outs.
• Participate in cost planning for physical distribution.
• Ensure high customer service levels through weekly replenishment alignment with Supply.
• Communicate supply challenges and implications to stakeholders.
• Contribute to monthly Sales and Operations Planning process, clearly informing of risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
• Manage the supply chain process, including procurement, production scheduling, and distribution.

Key Requirements:

• Proven track record in demand and supply planning, preferably within the fashion or retail industry.
• Demonstrated ability to provide business-wide forecasting leadership and insights to strategic business planning.
• Ability to confidently partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams, with a high calibre of professional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence (EQ).

Qualifications:

• University qualification in a Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• Proven ability to drive resolutions to issues and continuously improve processes.
