The Client
Our client is a privately owned Australian company whose core business involves the national distribution of construction equipment and trucks. Due to continued growth they are adding a National Sales Manager to their team.
The Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Sales & Marketing, the National Sales Manager will oversee the performance of sales across Australia, developing strategies and programmes to grow the organisation’s customer base. This is a highly visible role working closely with the National Sales and Marketing team to develop new sales opportunities through the implementation of marketing plans and key client strategies. The successful candidate will analyse sales data and market shares to understand any gaps in KPIs, budgeted targets and deliverables and work closely with the State-based sales teams to close gaps. This role involves the mentoring and coaching of the sales teams as well as prospecting, negotiating and closing deals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you must have excellent interpersonal skills and sales leadership experience, preferably in heavy industry. Knowledge of the construction and earthmoving equipment, including machinery specifications is preferred as well as the ability to travel when required.
