About the Role:

SoftLabs is seeking .Net Developer Lead - Multiple forICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in Canberra

Requirements:

The role will be responsible for, but notlimited to:

  • This role is a leadership role where youwill work with a team of .Net Developers as part of an Agile Delivery Team(ADT).
  • The role is responsible for undertakingvery complex and/or sensitive work, under broad direction, utilising expertiseacross a range of activities relating to the design of softwareapplications.
  • In partnership with clients and otherstakeholders, apply strategic and systems expertise to enhance and improveexisting software, including designing, developing, implementing and testingsoftware systems, in line with business requirements and software developmentstandards.
  • In collaboration with other teams in thework area, investigate and resolve complex issues with the operation of anapplication
  • Ensure deadlines are consistently met andthat a high standard of technical and design documentation is provided
  • Manage client relationships and work inline with project budgets
  • Be responsible for project progressreporting and ensure compliance with governance processes
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and capabilitydevelopment to less experienced and more junior developers
  • Lead and manage a team to ensure high qualityoutputs, including building team capability to maintain a high level ofexpertise and encouraging career development.
  • Provide high quality and timely adviceinternally and externally, including guidance and reporting to Branchleadership and the Senior Executive cohort including, Executive Leadership Teamin relation to section/Branch functional responsibilities.
  • Make and communicate decisions usingprofessional judgement, evaluating risks and in the context of a complex andchanging environment.
  • Contribute to doctrine, electionpreparation and delivery activities in accordance with the election readinessframework, according to individual accountabilities and responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties or assumeresponsibility of functions as directed from time to time.
  • Work within an agile environment usingSafe.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile SoftwareDevelopment Methodologies & documentation, including estimation andplanning.
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Backend development experience using webAPI and SQL technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in SoftwareDevelopment Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong experience in Developing automatedapplication build and deployment scripts using the .NET environment (.NETCore), and additional Microsoft technology stack.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud-basedapplications development.
  • Ability to produce well designed,documented, and testable code.
  • Peer review of developed products andscripts.
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully settingpriorities and delivering quality results on time and on budget.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectivelywhilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographicallydispersed network.
  • Proven analytical abilities with the abilityto propose and facilitate change and contribute to business improvementstrategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff whiledeveloping capabilities, encouraging career development, and promotingprofessionalism.
  • Sound knowledge and experience insuccessfully managing and delivering results within time restraints and withcompeting priorities.
  • Proven ability to communicate withinfluence, negotiate outcomes and manage complex stakeholder relationships,including across a geographically dispersed network.
  • Proven conceptual and analytical abilitieswith sound knowledge of change management practices and techniques to enableinnovation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and managestaff while developing capabilities, encouraging career development andembedding professionalism.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to, quickly gainknowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.
  • A willingness to undergo security vettingat the Negative Vetting NV1 level.
  • Experience in Cloud-basedtechnologies.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure Dev Ops.
  • Experience in technical analysis anddesign.
  • Implement integration requirements toperform end to end solution designs.
